The False Lies We Have Always Told Ourselves.

Many times, we tend to blame the places where we find ourselves because of the unavailability of what we're looking for, or the things we hear of other places, and we end up failing to see the other opportunities available around us. You are either always blaming the government or the economy; we're either blaming someone for our failures, instead of going beyond boundaries, we either blame God or say destiny has been unfair to us. But think about it, the next neighbor close to you is doing well, have you ever paused to ask yourself what he or she did? Did you ever stop in a day to ask yourself how they did it or the steps they took in their lives?

Or you're still waiting for the miracle to happen while you sit lazing in your bed day and night.

Yes, the job you're doing is giving you little that can afford you your dream life. Have you ever asked yourself what you can do or start doing? This is where it hits hard, blaming the places we find ourselves instead of finding the opportunities over there.

Think it: Why Your Location Shouldn't Affect Your Success Story.

One of the things that we can't ever miss continuously as people are opportunities. Opportunities are available around us always, and the more you look for one, you surely find it. The difference lies in how we see that opportunity and how we respond to it. Many people believe that you will only become successful when you live in a big city or a developed country.

Let me tell you the truth, success is not always about where you are. Success is more about who you are, how you think and process things, and the actions you take. People tend to see the places where they live as a limitation to them, instead of seeing it as a place where they can unlock the potential in them and start doing something.

Most of the great people you may probably know of had humble beginnings. They probably might have come from small towns and villages. What made the difference between you and them? Was it their location? No, it was their willingness to act.  They made the right decisions and took the right steps.

Where Success Starts From

Success is not sold in the marketplace or on the roadside. Success doesn't begin with word of mouth or being commanded to happen. Success begins in the mind. If you find yourself in an environment that limits you doesn't mean the same environment should define you. Great people with great minds started very little from very little places. They don't wait for or look for a perfect environment before they start with whatever they want to do.

You should make the best use of what you have around you and not have the mindset that your success depends on where you are. When it happens like this, you will always find yourself giving excuses for your failure. Believe in yourself and you will always find a way.

Turn Those Limitations Into Lessons

So, instead of seeing your environment as a place that is not of advantage to your advantage, it is best that you look at it as a training ground. If you find yourself going through hard times, that is the moment to make yourself stronger. When you have little or no support, the things you struggle to do on your own make you independent because you depend on no one else. You must let every challenge that comes to you be an opportunity to learn a new lesson.

The very moment you begin to think this way, your environment no longer becomes a cage where you are locked in one place. Your environment now becomes a place where you learn to grow and attain knowledge, just like it is done in the classroom.

Instead of Living, Better Where You Are

You may not have everything right now, but you have something. Start with that. You want to live in the big cities, make the place where you stay a big city too.

Why We Sometimes Blame The Part of the World We Find Ourselves.

  • We are always comparing our lives to those of other people in other countries or cities and making us feel we are lacking.
  • When there are few or no jobs available, the system fails us brutally, and education feels like that of the 18th century. We believe our environment is the main reason why we are not succeeding.
  • In many places, blame can stem from a lack of good infrastructure, such as good roads and social amenities.
  • Seeing others live comfortably elsewhere, through social media platforms, keeps us blaming our own place of dwelling.

How You Can Also Shine Where You Are

  • You have to first start by changing the way you think in the first place.
  • Make use of the tools, skills, and people around you to begin with.
  • You have to be consistent with everything you are doing. Giving up is not an option.
  • Learn new things from different people and different places, wherever, and apply them where you are.
  • Don't let negativity control your environment. Stay positive where ever you are.
  • You should work with the community or the place where you are. Have a common goal and move together.
  • That is how you can also shine in the place where you are instead of blaming it. Blaming it won't help you grow, neither will it give you success.
